Darkness: Chapter 11
— One Week Later — In The Mansion —
Yamamoto Sayaka’s POV
The sounds of my guitar made me calm. I was playing, alone, in the garden. This comfortable chair was enough for me. A cold hand interrupted me. I stopped myself and turned around. I leant my guitar against the chair and stood up.
“Sayaka-chan~” Miyuki said, hugging me tightly.
“Hey Milky, how are you? Have you seen Yui?” I asked her, while we pulled away from the embrace.
She looked at me, bewildered. Without answering, she pouted cutely.
You think that I’m stupid, right…?
“Awh… Sorry Milky… I didn’t want to hurt you.” I said, guiltily, looking down.
I heard no answer, so, I decided to raise my head toward her. She was gone.
“M-Miyuki?” I called her and looked around me.
I rushed toward the entrance, but the door opened and I ran into Haruka.
“Sorry, Paru! Have you seen Milky?” I asked in a hurry.
“She’s on the floor.” Haruka answered a little stunned.
I quickly thanked her and went to my room. I opened the door and saw Miyuki, sitting on the edge of the bed, her phone on her hands.
“W-What are you doing?” I said panicked and panting.
“Nothing. Just, go see Yui.” She answered without looking at me.
Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. I don’t know…… Ah!
“Fine.” I said coldly and left the room.
I leaned against the wall and waited for Miyuki. After a few minutes, she left the room. I grabbed her wrists and pulled her inside our room again, closing quickly the door behind us.
“Let me go!” Miyuki yelled, looking at her wrists.
“Never.” I said before to smile foolishly.
“E-Eh?” She looked at me stunned.
“You’re mine.” I whispered, wrapping my arms around her waist and kissing her passionately. “Sorry, I was clumsy…” I stroked her cheek.
“Stupid Sayaka!” She pouted, pushing my shoulder gently.
I giggled at her reaction.
“Sorry for making you jealous.” I teased her.
“I-I wasn’t…” She lied while I chuckled softly.
Then, I pulled her again for a last kiss before to meet our friends.
It’s already lunch’s time…The worst time of the day, the meal. Why? Mayu doesn’t eat with us. Yuki needs to take a rest, so, Yuria and Mayu stay with her. Rena avoids Jurina. That’s why nobody talks through the meal. Everybody keeps quiet. It’s always like that, lately. Funny, right…?
However, we heard a footstep from the stairs. Mayu walked toward us, smiling.
“Yukirin is better!” She said happily.
“Good news.” Anna answered with a little smile.
“She wants to see you after.”
The Healer simply nodded and we started eating.
— After The Meal — In Yuki and Yuria’s Room —
Kashiwagi Yuki’s POV
After one week, my wound healed. I didn’t leave my room yet, I was a little afraid to bump into the angry Jurina. I heard someone knocking at my door’s room, then, I sat on the edge of my bed.
“Come in.” I said softly while the door opened.
“Hey.” Anna said while giving a wave.
She sat next to me and took my arm to examine my wound.
“You’re a lucky. It was fast.” She said and looked at me.
“Thank you. I want to do something for thanking you.” I smiled.
“It’s fine.” She answered coldly.
“Yuria is my friend, she helped me. So, I want to help her, and you, at the same time.”
She looked at me stunned. I giggled before speaking again.
“Call Yuria. I’ll make her waiting you in 15 minutes in our room.”
She didn’t answer and continued to stare at me. After a few seconds she spoke finally.
“But she avoids m-”
“Just, go. Now.”
— In The Living Room —
Kizaki Yuria’s POV
I saw Anna walking toward the couch. I looked at her, then, she stopped in front of me.
“Yuki wants to see you.” She said coldly.
I simply nodded and reached Yuki’s room.
“Hey.” I said, opening the door.
“Ah, Yuria. I want to talk with you.” She smiled and stood up.
I looked at her curiously without moving. I wanted to ask her, but she didn’t let me speak.
“I need to take a shower before. I’ll wait you here… In… 15 minutes.”
“Why not now?” I asked stunned.
She simply giggled and left me.
— 15 Minutes Later —
I was waiting. Strange behavior… I didn’t understand why Yuki wanted to talk with me only now…
Suddenly, I heard someone locked the door, then, I turned around.
“I wanted to talk with you, but you avoided me continuously.” She said, leaning against the closed door.
“I have nothing to say at you.” I said, angry.
She’s not my friend or something else… I don’t need to talk with her.
“So, say it. That you hate me and you don’t want to see me anymore.”
I opened my mouth to talk, but… I couldn’t speak. I wanted to say it, but I couldn’t. She sighed and that made me mad.
“Just, come back at your home to see your… lover!” I shouted, walking toward her to leave the room.
“Eh?” She only said, stunned.
“What?” I said and stopped in front of her.
“Stop playing with my heart Yuria! That’s enough! I can’t hold it anymore!” She yelled suddenly while she sat on my bed.
I looked at her while she avoided my gaze. She stared the floor, her two hands put on her laps.
“It’s crazy. I don’t know you for a long time, but… it’s like I wanted to be with you forever…”
I squatted in front of her and took her warm hands slowly.
“It’s wrong, right?” She continued, crying softly. “I can’t love you…”
I smiled and wiped her tears away.
“Anna, look at me.” I said and she raised her head toward me.
I stood up and push her down on the bed with one of my hands, wrapping my free arm around her waist. Her scent was intoxicating. I leant slowly my head until reached her lips. She pulled my neck to deepen the kiss. My tongue demanded entrance to Anna’s warm mouth, she complied. Our tongues met passionately and danced for a few seconds. Then, we parted away from some air.
Iriyama Anna’s POV
We were so close. I couldn’t stop staring at her deep red eyes.
“Sorry for… falling in love with you…” She said softly without leaving my eyes. “I think… it’s wrong because I’m immortal-” She started, but I kissed her quickly to make the vampire shut.
“I am too…” I whispered softly in her ear.
She stayed frozen.
“What?” The vampire stared at me, dumbfounded.
Then, she removed her arms and we sat next to each other.
“I-I rarely talk about it… Maybe…” I started while she looked at me curiously.
It’s time to tell you…
“We, Healers, are very powerful. We can heal all the vampires or werewolves wounds. That’s why, a few of us can be immortal and all the dangerous Healer are killed early…”
I was 17 years old at this time. To become immortal, I needed to endure The Great Pain. They took me in a dark room and made me sit on a single chair. Then, they fastened me to this chair, an electric chair. I was afraid, I know that I’ll suffer so much. My heart had to be hurt to become immortal.
After… after that, it was like I was dead. But I know that I was alive. When my body will be ready, I could become completely immortal.
“… I’m 20 years old now. It’s time. I need just to wait a little.” I finished my story and looked at Yuria’s teary eyes.
I pulled her into a warm hug.
“Don’t cry.” I said softly while she nodded on my shoulder. “Yuria?” I called her, pulling me away after a few seconds.
“Hm?” She said with a little smile.
“It’s… really okay for you…?” I asked, worried.
“To fall in love with you… so quickly?” She teased me and giggled.
I just nodded without smiling. She stopped herself and patted my head gently.
“Is it.” The vampire finally answered.
I’ll escape from the darkness.
